The Blogging Mistakes
Having little to zero barrier of entry, being a professional blogger has been a goal for many. The opportunity to make money online with little work is tantalizing and which contribute to the high amount of new blogs published every day.
Blogging used to be easy, they say. If we take into account the total amount of blogs that were published, versus the small handful of blogs that is actually generating income, one may easily come into that conclusion. However, that is far from the truth.
The first mistake that many newbie bloggers make is assuming that blogging is easy. To ensure blogging success, it’s true that all you need is to set up a website with usability in mind, write in a manner that attracts and keep readers attached, market your site, and monetize it. Sound simple, right? But it is not. There are many methods, technicality and strategies that you must be aware of. Some are effective, some are not, while some are plain wrong.
It’s important to come into realization that the most important habit to being a successful blogger is to get things done. It is vital part of achieve any success. Therefore, the key is to be consistent, whether it’s in post delivery or in marketing efforts.
The second mistake most make is not willing to spend. While it is always good to practice frugality in life, when it comes to business, it is wiser to spend on things that are necessary to ensure our success likelihood. And this is also true when it comes to blogging. Just a few months ago, I paid for a blog coaching program called Blog Mastermind. The knowledge that I learned is essential in paving a smooth way in my blogging goals. Just because blogging does not require very little capital does not mean one should not spend at all. Spending in acquiring knowledge should be justified. And this is especially true when it is necessary in reaching our goal.
Continuing to the third mistake, most newbie blogger are not willing to commit. Whether it’s committing a fix hour of work a day or spending money on acquiring services to better their blog. It’s this unwillingness to commit that spells the downfall of many new bloggers.
The final mistake most make is not being persistent. They give up to early. Yaro Starak, the professional blogger who is making tens of thousands a month does not make a dim in his first year of blogging. It wasn’t until the second year that he started to make money. When it comes to blogging, persistent is the key to success, besides having a good monetization and marketing strategy that works.
I sincerely believe that once we are able to avoid these mistakes, the path to become a professional blogger is absolutely possible.
